Mothers' Day. Fathers' Day. Valentines' Day. Presidents' Day, Moon landing Day, etc. etc. etc... Truly memorable.
And yet, the most important remembrances of our lives are overlooked.
Our young - our children - our immortality.
In parts of Asia. one of the most important and meaningful of all
recollections is "Sons' Day" and "Daughters' Day".
An annual point in time when each parent officially honors,
individually, their offspring.
Irrespective of scholastic and athletic (or lack of) aptitudes, every child is individually addressed and praised.
The parent expounds upon and commends those personal characteristics that set apart each child from his /her sibling(s).
It is a day of total affirmation of the eternal love, unchallengable esteem and thanks with which we hold and recognize the particular child. An unbreakable bond that exists between every child and parent.
A day to put aside the daily emotions and personal concerns existing in every household.
That special day to revere each son, each daughter for the wealth of love and happiness their existence has brought. Daughters' Day. Sons' Day. Truly memorable. A day of pride
